Well, since I'm such a geek, I'd like a fingerprint scanner. What do you think's the best value, but lowest cost one?

Amazon.com is always a good place to check for those odd things you just can't find anywhere else but want it new. Fingerprint scanners on Amazon seem to range from $10-$80 or so.
If all else fails try eBay.com
