The biggest "festival" would be Christmas which occurs every year on December 25. The next most important day would be Easter which is determined by the lunar calendar and when the first day of spring falls. As for the number of holy days, that varies between churches. Most acknowledge Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. Others have many more feast days including All Saints Day, Epiphany, Assumption, feast days for various individual saints (St. Patrick's Day is one of the more widely-observed of these) and the list goes on. In some churches the entire week leading up to Easter is considered to be holy. Many churches also observe Lent (the season before Easter) and Advent (the season before Christmas). Right now we are in the Season Proper also know as the Season After Pentecost (which means that nothing special happens in the Church calendar for a good while). Hope that helps.
