Cat' Chatterer...?

There is something funny about my cat, he stare out the window and his mouth starts to chatter, as if he is talking, then he makes this meow, meow meow stops then sgtarts chatting again. My husband think is hilirious and I think he sees the birds. Does your cat do strange things like chater?

yes yes it's really hilarious when they do that. my cats does the chatter when they see an insect that they can't get at. they'd start meowing at me hoping that i'll lift them up. when they are really close to the insect they'd start the chatter. it's like they couldn't control their excitement. i like to watch them chatter as it's really cute and funny.

Hello applefreak,
aren't they just lovely? they are so funny when they do that, when my cat is busy chatting you cant't call him or distract him he just ignores you and carry on with is little chatter. I'm my cat is not he only one that does things like that. Thank you for your comments.

yes yes they look really funny when they do that. the very fast movement of their jaw when chattering is hilarious. i always laugh when i see them do that. did you see this youtube clip about the 'mean kitty' song? it's really a great clip and there's this part where spartar chattered.

My friend Greeneagle has a new white cat, and i find her nice to him and plays with him all the time. but he never saw his female cat talking to a bird but chattering to an insect. quite fast though during my last visit. It is Hilarious, and he even told me that at least she has something to do than just sitting around and sleeping the whole day.@tamarafireheart (15384)

How is my dear friend Greeneagle? I have missed him very much and his news of his cats, I am glad he has got another cat and they play together, yes cats are funny one of my cats does that and the other don't do that all all, not bothered about anything. One of my cats does the same thing. There is a tree in front of my house, and he does that right before he jumps onto it to chase the bird. He hasn't caught anything yet, but he almost did once. If he's inside he'll stare out the window, meowing at the bird.

I have heard cats do that before. I think they do it when they are excited. I have heard that cats make many more sounds than dogs. My cat seems to be pretty quiet though. Most of the time all I get out of him is the standard meow. I do love his purring though.

How so sweet, ues the funny thing is my tom cat whose name is Tom is the one that chatter, but I have a female cat Baby she just snores when she sleep and sit and stares me at me when she wants her food.Thank you telling me about you cat.

i used to have a cat, Cupid was his name that would do that when he looked out the window. usually he was looking at birds and i thought he was trying to lure them to him.

Thank you for responding to this discussion, and yes some cats are so funny, Tom does that and when he is outside a bird can just sit near him and he won't do anything, just looks at it as if he is bored, must be getting old lol! the birds are quite safe round him. Hugs.

we had a cat that talked in her sleep. it made us wonder what she was dreaming. not snoring, but she was waa woo waa woo, she was talking and it was cute.

That is so funny, my ones snores and does a lot of twicting whe they are asleep and my baby the fekale cat stare at me when she wants feeding. Thank you for telling me about your cat, its really is funny.
