I've noticed that in Middle School & in High School, the gothic community seemed to grow.
More and more people were becoming gothic and I was wondering is the purpose to get attention for themselves?
At first, I thought they were all depressed but I realized then i was stereotyping so I decided to post my question on MyLot and find out what other people think before I go and make accusations.
Some people think gothic people are creepy, some people think they are cool, a lot of different views.
I also thought they were "emos" when I was a freshmen in High school but that was also stereotyping. Anyways, what do you guys think? Why are people gothic? This is driving me crazy because I need to find out!

I think it is like anything else. Like emo for example these people do not really want to look this stupid. They are trying to prove a point or get attention because they were lacking as childer.

Good Answer! Thank's For Your Post! I thought this also a while back but I'm not really sure anymore because they seem to like being isolated. Do you think it was because they were neglected as a child?
