I love music and would like some suggestions of musicians/bands to check out. Here is your chance to make a case for me to listen to your favorite artists. So here's the deal leave me a list of maybe 2 or 3 artists/bands that you love and you think everyone else should listen to. If you can, tell me what their music is like, so I have an idea of what I'm going to be listening to. I am just a huge music fan and I'm always looking for some new music to fall in love with. I am open to anything of any genre, though I do tend to like rock music the most, I am open minded and willing to check out anything that is good. Thank you in adavance. I can't wait to hear of some of your favorites and to check them out for myself. If you want a couple suggestions from me: Kill Hannah - They are a dancey rock band. If you like bands like Garbage, Placebo, The Killers then you might want to check them out. A good song to check out first: Kennedy. A couple others: Boys And Girls, Lips Like Morphine. Rasputina - They are a 'cello rock' band. They make cellos sound so awesome. They have some really great live covers and original songs. Some of my favorites: 'The Olde Headboard' 'How We Quit The Forest' and 'Gingerbread Coffin'. Their covers of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' and Marilyn Manson's 'Tourniquet' Dot Dot Dot - They are another dancey band from Chicago. They were on the TV show 'The Next Great American Band'.

I am a big music lover myself, and I would suggest to you Sum 41 because they are a good rock band, and they also have one of my favorite songs which is Fat Lip,I would also suggest Garth Brooks because he is my favorite country artist and he has a lot of hit songs that you might like, and I would also suggest Green Day because they are another awesome rock band that have a lot of great songs, and I would definately recommend checking out all three artists, and I hope you like them.

Green Day was one of the first rock band I got into. I was about 12 (so around 1995) and the very first cd I ever bought was 'Dookie'. I loved that album. My family are huge country music fans so I grew up listening to Garth Brooks. He is so huge, the highest selling solo artist of all time. I remember hearing his hits all the time on the radio, like 'Rodeo' and 'Friends In Low Places'. The only cd of his I actually have is the Live one, I believe it's from Madison Square Gardens. I listened to Sum 41 and loved 'Fat Lip' though I don't particularly like their newer stuff. Thanks so much for your response.

That is very awesome that you like Green Day,and it is also very awesome that your family are big country fans, and yeah he is the highest selling solo artist of all time, and I remember at the awards when it he got the Crystal Milestone award, and he more than deserved it,and I have all but a couple of his cds,and yeah I do not like much of Sum 41s newer stuff but I love their old music like Fat Lip and In Too Deep, and you are more than welcome for the response,I was happy to respond to you,and I hope if I respond to peoples discussions, they will respond to mine, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I love listening to R&B, Pop, Alternative, and Hiphop. Try listening to Colby Callat, Edwin McCain, Akon, or Nickelback. That's only my suggestion. There's an online station called AOL. From there, you can choose different categories to listen to. They have their own playlist of different songs.

I've listened to the stuff on your list, but only like their 'singles'. The songs of theirs that have been played on the radio. I wish I could listen to online radio. I have dial up. It makes it hard to do any kind of streaming. When I'm at someone else's place using their high speed internet, I shall try to remember to check out the AOL station.
