Im a lover of steam trains,im not a total fanatic, but I will happilly take off to our local steam centre if anyone suggests it,and I can get great enthusiasm for all those beautiful engines and restored carriages.I also love wild birds, and frequently watch them from my kitchen window,I feed them when they need it,and im always happy to have them call by!...but..does this make me unusual?boring and dull?..it seems that we who love those things are commonly known as being a bit weird or boring..so are any of you out there into anorak type hobbies???

Ruby, I'm afraid that people look at me rather oddly on many counts, not least because of my anorak like tendancies. I will say that steam trains aren't one of them though. I had a boyfriend when I was young who volunteered on one of the steam railways and lived and breathed for it. I guess it's put me off forever! However, a ride on a steam railway is always nice. They do a Santa Special on the Watercress Line which I always used to take my little'un too, and the Thomas the Tank Engine days that the steam railways do are always fun too. Left to my own devices, and with no pushchairs to battle with, I like to walk. It seems rather unfashionable these days to just walk, but it's fun. I like to wander round little villages and see what there is to see. Churches are fun to explore too.

Oooooh, graveyards! I'd forgotton about graveyards! There was one near my old house and I used to love wandering around in there. People said it was spooky, but I thought it was just a nice quiet spot to have a wander around. I always used to say hello to the children (so sad) and wonder about their stories.

I hold my hands up to being a graveyard freak myself,so maybe the three of us should set off and do a round the country graveyard trip, but first of all we ned a vehicle that fits in with the theme, either a hearse or a Morris traveller, one of those with all the wood attached to the body work.We could book in at various bed and breakfasts on the way and fit a few old chapels and things in too.If we were lucky enough to pass a steam centre then we could all go and give Ruby a treat. And if you are all very good I will buy you a Top ten, there, hows tht for a deal.

Hi ruby, I don't believe that..LOL! I also love simple things around..Love to watch the birds too and it will always bring me into smile when they are singing...I love to watch them in a crowd busy eating with what I provided for them...I love to listen to the falls and the sounds produce by nature... Those simple things will always make me happy but, I don't consider myself as dull and boring..LOL!

This is it!its each to there own!we are all made differently, and we all have things that we like doing and thinks that just do not appeal to us..and its a very good job we are all different, otherwise the world would be a very dull place.

Im not dull and boring, but its just the way that people seem to think of these type of interests,as if they are someting only done by people who have nothing better to do.If visiting a place of beauty is boring, well I will eat my hat.But then if I had to go and sit in a public house for too long it would send me to sleep.
