These are the flowers on my Hosta's. I am not sure about the name or variety of Hosat's but the get these long stems with many purple flowers that point downward on the stem. I just wanted to share as someone here asked if these flowered or not. Do you know the name and or variety of Hosta that flowers like the photo? I would really like to know. Thanks all. Have a great day/evening as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hi Grandpa B...I have no idea about the name of that flower but I do admire it's beauty....I can imagine how excited everyone in your family to wake up and spend time in the garden before starting the day!

Yeah, my wife and I walk all around the back yard and garden checking the progress. Then we walk to the front yard checking all the flowers and cucumbers and rasberries etc. Some nice together time before she leaves for work each day. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I don't know either Bob. I planted hostas last year that someone gave me and they did not flower and I didn't think they were suppose to but this year they did. I was surprised. I didn't know any of them flowered.

I am green with envy. The deer came and decimated my hostas. Not the neighbors, just mine.

Bummmer. I am in the city and the deers tend to stay a few blocks from me near the Nature Center. I have bugs eating the leaves slightly though. Thanks bunches also. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have several types of Hosta’s. Some are green and yellow and they do flower with those pretty purple flowers. Some are just green and they do not flower. I’m not a big fan of Hosta’s. I think they take up a lot of room and are ugly until they flower. We dug out 3 hosta’s last Fall- each one we separated into 3 plants and gave them away. I’m not sure the name- I just call them all Hosta’s.
