what is the best Anti Virus software/ program you can refer?

Our office often has a problem with the virus, I dunno if the company is just too stingy to buy/install an anti-virus program or whatsoev, but we employees always have complaints of the slow connection and deleted files. I'm not a teckie and i'm not really sure how it works, but can anyone suggest a best ani-virus program that well, u have tested and proven safe.thanks very much, have fun!
