I remeber when I was a kid you could get like a ten pack of reeses cups in a package for .39 cents now you'd be really lucky to find them for .99. Candy bars are like .69 a pack of gum is 45 cents at a minium and 1.59 at a maximum. 12 pack of coke for 1.09 try finding that anywhere!! The other stuff I dont buy so I have no basis for comparison but I am sure everything was much cheaper in 1993.

Wow, that is amazing! You're right, you don't realize how much has gone up since the price raises a little at a time. I wish our prices went back to then.

Tings have gone up that much in 15 years? I would have hought that was from 30 years ago. Either that, or it reflects American prices, when the dollar was a lot stronger, so it was worth more!!!

It is crazy! I will scan off the receipt later and add it on here. My daughter was repacking some old photos and found that receipt in perfect condition. Not fadded or anything. Going to add it to my scrapbook. I am also going to add one from 2008. Wish I had kept more receipts through the years (I am enough of a pack rat I am surprised I didn't).

Wow, time has certainly changed. The prices also where a lot cheaper then. I remember the good old days. That's when everything, including gas, was cheap. M&M candy is around 90 cents now. That's three times the 1993 price!

Times have certainly changed! It would be interesting if you also had a payslip from that date to see how much you earned then. It might not seem so shocking when you see what your wage was. (Hopefully not, anyway!)

Well I know I earned $6.00 an hour at that time and worked about 35 hours a week. I can tell cause it was a reciept from the grocery store where I worked as a baker/cake decorator.

Our kids are getting stronger these days. It used to be that it would take four trips to the car to bring in $100 worth of groceries. Now a 16-year-old can do it in one.

Wow what a way to rationalize, my friend! Stronger kids yeah that has got to be why it only takes one trip in 2008 to bring in $100 worth of groceries! LOL!

I've been meaning to mention (and please pardon me for being forward), but if those are your legs in your avatar and not your 18-year-old daughter's, you're in fabulous shape for 37!
