Find out exactly what bills you have to pay each week or month, then look at exactly what you have coming in.
If you have less coming in than your going to need find something to cut out or find other ways to produce income.
Okay, what I think is the best way to manage money besides the above is to number on pay your tithe if you are a Christian, pay this first no matter what, then second put a set amount each week or pay period into long term savings, then a set aside something for an emergency fund, if at all possible. (this would be separate than long term savings, this is money set aside in case the stove breaks or the car needs brakes or whatever,)
Okay next line up your bills in the way of most vital to be paid first, such as housing first, next power, water, phone, insurance, gas to get to and from work, unless you walk every where, then after all of your bills are paid make a grocery list based on a menu that you plan to realistically follow, then go buy what is on your list.
Cook your own meals at home, as often as possible, Don't go spending every dime you get, learn to save as much as possible for when you may need it later on in life.
Then something else that is very very important it this stay healthy, make sure you keep your teeth healthy, exercise every day, eat right, don't over eat, maintain a healthy weight. Get out and meet people, don't stay isolated,
If you loose your health you will spend a great deal of money to regain your health which is not a good thing at all, and I should know because I stopped exercising and stopped doing a lot of things I should be doing, and ended up very fat and with a lot of health problems and my "vacation" last month to the local hospital will cost me more than I have so I will be paying on that bill probably for the rest of my life, all because that I neglected my health.
It is important to practive good health, also repair things that brake around your home as soon as possible so that you don't end up having a bigger repair due to waiting.
Lastly if possible raise a garden large enough so you can preserve lots of groceries so that you do not spend so much on groceries. Groceries is another thing that just costs a lot. as is gas. So you need to either walk as often as possible or plan your trips so that you are not on the road burning up all your gas each day.
Mostly don't waste and be saving, learn to be a good steward of your resources. If you can do that then you should be able to learn to manage your money well.
hope this was helpful to you.
