I do not do it as a routine or with a purpose. However, there have been times when I am into forced meditation. Like when I am down and need to seclude myself from others, I lock myself in my room and try to come out meditating with positive happenings in life. Then when I have some visitor with whom I cannot connect with, I kind of hand over her garrulousness to my mom and guess what I meditate in those times as well switching on some relaxation music.... *grin*

I do meditate when confronted with some obnoxious people not to lose my cool. Some might have found me very funny with my lips trembling and standing there in a trance.Well I don't mind anyway.

I've never meditated. The few times I have tried I have found that my concentration levels just weren't up to it. I start trying to empty my mind and end up wondering what to have for dinner, or where I left my keys.

Try to meditate after eating something. It is the empty stomach that makes your mind wander I think.

I do Yoga which I guess is a form of meditation. I should do more mind excercises where I am taking my body to a place where there is nowhere (nirvana) to relax me and take me away from the daily toils of life. Someone told me once... "Keep the mind happy and the mind keeps the body happy"... that kind of makes sense to me since the mind controls the body. For all you out there that do meditate I would love to know of some resources on how and when to do it. Very interesting subject Thanks Zelo

Hi bala-I like to light some incense turn some soft meditating music on then just sit on a chair with my feet on the floor hands uplifted on my knees to receive energy then take a few deep breaths...whilst listening to the music it helps clear my mind and am able to just concentrate on the music not letting anything else come through eg thoughts of every day life and drift away into a white light-when coming out of meditation I then 'ground' myself by eating a snack or something it makes me feel calm and am able to deal with everything that is thrown at me throughout the day without worrying about it-there are other meditations I do waalking one also while doing the house-work that is just the same-littleowl

No, I do not find to to meditate. It only happens on very few occasions, when I can mediate and relax myself. What about you?
