Do you touch type, or have to look at the keys?

In my school days I did typing and did quite well, being able to touch type. Now I have to look at the keys and surprising enough I can still make mistakes. One word I constantly get around the wrong way is "form"......meaning to put "from" Do you have to look at the keys also? Or are you just plain clever? lol

I touch type, I have tried not looking at the keys but I seem to make too many mistakes. It is so funny because I also make the same exact mistake typing "form" when I mean to type "from". Haha

No, I don't have to look at the keys, so I guess I am just plain clever, lol! I learned to touch type when I was young, and have worked in offices all my life, so I have been able to keep up my typing speeds, even though I don't work anymore. It still comes in handy when writing long emails to friends!

LOL I do a mixture depending on my mood and the way I feel! If I am alert and full of energy then i don't even have to look at the keys but otherwise I have to keep glancing down to reassure myself that I am doing things right! The word i always make mistakes with is 'the' 'them' 'they; etc as i always seem to get teh t and h the wrong way round! xxxx

I'm finding as I get older my fingers and brain don't seem to be talking to eachother! Hahahhaa! Sometimes I read through what I've typed and I've put completely random words which don't make any sense at all. Can't believe I was a word processor operator and a typesetter for years ... I doubt anyone would employ me now! Oh well - there's no boss on myLot, thank goodness!

I dont have to look at the keys when I talk, but I still make typos; I just have to proofread what I type. I used to mess with my little brother and keep him off my computer by switching all of the keys on my keyboard around. He thought I was mean, but it was very fun. I actually got used to it when i was at school, but I still type so much that I didnt lose it. My biggest mistake is that which I spell taht.
