I miss my sister a lot after she's got married

Life is never the same for me after my sister's got married. Have any of you felt the same anytime in life? My sister just got married and she's gone to her in-law's place. The home which used to bubble with energy suddenly seems quiet when I return home from work. I also miss the sharing of things and petty fights I used to have with her regarding which channel to watch, what mother should cook for the day, etc. Suddenly the spirit seems diminished and I feel kinda lonely in the house as she was my only sibling. Life's too cruel but I think I'll get used to the void.

I had experience that too when my favorite sister is about to leave the country for work. It's like I am being alone after she left, but later cope with loneliness. Now, our only communication is through phone and I'm used to it. I know someday we'll be together again. She's married now and stayed in the USA with her hubby.

Hey, that's great. Even I do keep in touch over phone but the physical presence is greatly felt by me. I guess you get used to seeing them around in the house, that their sudden departure doesn't fit in the picture you've been seeing since childhood.

yeah, My sister didn't get married but moved like a long way away about 200 or so miles away :S its so far but luckily she'd visit tomorrow lol, she went to live with her boyfriend and he's family, she moved last year a month before her birthday... she used to be in my room lol and i feel really lonely because i haven't really got anyone to talk to and i worry while she is there. I have a brother though who lives here but he always goes out and he'd move soon, I'm still not used to the fact about my sister moving so far from home, I rather her closer. so hope you get to see your sister sometime :) and get used to it without her there :P.

Hey, you're lucky and I am very happy that she's will be back with you again. I wonder will she be with you only temporarily. Yeah, my sis does call up or come once in a while, but it's the daily interaction with her that I miss a lot.

i miss my sister too, she has two kids now which keeps her occupied and uses all her time. i know she has a hard time balancing her time in tending to her kids, husband, and as a housekeeper. she rarely sends email now while before, she constantly sends email messages =( i miss her when she's not sending messages, i am no longer updated on her happenings in life. i constantly wonder how she is
