Hubby and I have debated about how much fun money you should have per week. This is money for a lunch out or something little you may see or whatever else. How much do you budget per week for this?

As much as I can!! Me time means fun time and fun time = happy me. Happy me = happy friends and happy friends = you! So give me money and you'l be happy, there is no error in my logic... Just kidding but if still want to give me money you're welcome to. I accept Alertpay and Paypal thank you. Back to the topic, hmm well I'd say I don't spend very much on myself. I'm too busy taking care of the house and saving up for a new computer.

Glad to hear someone has fun money. We have zero extras in our budget for fun. We go out to eat maybe once a month if we are lucky most months we don't. Money is just too darned tight right now and with gas going up and up we don't go anywhere unless it is absolutly necessary. I am in the off season so we sometimes don't go anywhere all week. Gas was at $4.01 here yesterday. We can usually get by with filling the tank once a month during my off season cause we have a brand new car with excellent gas mileage and we don't go anywhere.

Where therein lies our issue. We don't have a lot of extra money due to the gas prices and are in the process of paying off debt from when he was unemployed for 6 months. Now that we both have jobs again, he argues that he needs something every week because whats life worth living if there isn't anything to look forward to. We have some flexibility in spending due to paying off debts. If it were up to me, I'd want to have no extra spending now so that in the future, our debts would be gone. He would rather not do that possibly take a little longer to pay stuff off so that you can have some fun now.

When I have money, which I absolutely don't right now, I budget about $50 a month. I'll go out eat sushi, see a movie, or buy a book. I spend too much money on books, especially at my favorite independent bookstore.
