Its all because im insecure

It has been said that people who are always gossiping and very nosey,and want to know what is going on in everybodies life and what is going on all around them are just generally insecure people..if this is right then how insecure does this make you????

I just thought it was a bit of a poser,you say you are a massive gossip,well im the total opposite.My son in law has just popped in and he is doing a course working on how we all work as people,not terribly well worded but im sure you know what I mean!He describes our `make up` as an iceberg...and the part of the iceberg we care to show to everyone is the tip!!and in the makeup of this iceberg is a lot of lines,each one showing our many different traits..so the under waves of the iceberg bob up and down and each time they do,a different trait will surface...I find it quite unusual to hear you say that you have no idea of how insecure you are...maybe its more a question of..that do any of us know how insecure we are then?...its quite fascinating.

I used to be extremely insecure, and I was very much like that. I'm not so much like that anymore. I'm not nosy, just curious. I don't gossip, but do like to talk about other people. I may still be insecure to a degree, but I don't think it's really bad.

That's true. Thing of it is I've recently come to realize my insecurities, and how they were affecting my life. I am now taking steps to correct that, and right the wrongs I've made over the years.

I tend not to be nosy! If some one wants me to know something they will tell me. I do not feel insecure. The hubby is very insecure and questions ever thing. drives me nuts!@ruby222 (4847)

Yes people will tell you what they want you to know!!thats for sure.You can stand next to someone in a queue and before you know it you have half of their life history being related to you.Its happened often,and I always think maybe thats because its far easier to confide in a total stranger that to confide in someone close to you.Lets face it there is a very good chance that you will never see the stranger again.

It is true that some people like that and some are just born curious in a way. But those who make gossips that are not true are the people with the highest insecurity. They do that to divert their attention to other peoples business in order to forget how lame their life truly is. I cannot say i am a very secure person because every now and then we get insecure because we are not a perfect being. We just need to be ourselves and build a better character for own good.
