i have a cat that lives in the house and here recently he has started doing something that he doesn't normally do and that is whenever he goes to the litter box he never covers it up...and i thought that it was weird because someone in the house has to get more litter and pour on top of where he used the bathroom...we can't understand why he is doing this because he never used to do that...so i was just wondering if any of you knew why he did this or if your cat has ever done this...so please let me know about this...thanks for reading my discussion!

Our Peaches never covers anything in the litter box either. What's funny is that when she goes out of the box which she does on occasion, she scratches around it to alert me to where she went so I can clean up after her. Never covers in the box though. Cats do have staff.

I really dont know about that one. Maybe it's just your cat's preference. They do that in the wild to keep predators away from them. Maybe he feels safe in your house and knows he doesnt have to worry about anyone capturing him.
