Do You Believe In Luck?

Hey all. I've reached a point with just about everything I do, that my luck seems to have gone bad...or non existent for that matter. Now don't get me wrong, there's nothing life threatening or anything like that going on, just things that I can't believe are happenening a certain way. I'm not going to go into detail and bore you with my personal experiences of late but know that I am a believer in the word luck. I think there's good and bad and also think that there are those people in the world that are just "born lucky". A quick for instance: I have a buddy that no matter what he does when it comes to things like the instant lottery, card games, money raffles and things like that, he wins 80% of the time (NO kidding). On the other hand, I'm "lucky" if I win 2% of the time. There is the same portion of "probability" amongst the two of us as we each have the same number of chances. Is it luck that seperates us like that or is it something totally different? Are you a believer? I look forward to your responses!

Sometimes I try to believe in luck. I try to believe that someday I get lucky and win the millions. Or that I AM lucky because i have a wonderful family and leading a wonderful life. Luck i believe is just all about believing that things will have in a good way.

That's an interesting thought sechsey. Maybe our beliefs and the things that we make of them are luck in it's true essence. That brings up another question of "are the people that actually believe they're lucky, luckier than those that don't believe?" What are your thoughts on this? By the way...thanks for the reply!

Hi Amanda and thanks for your reply. I've always felt that there was a fine line between luck and coincidence. I don't really know how to differentitate the two to tell you the truth. Maybe they both play a role in the other...sending the circumstance to either a beneficial or a detremental outcome for the person involved. Hmmmmmm.... I just confused the heck out of myself! :)
