What in heavens name does anyone want to post12discussions in one day

Reading someone elses discussion triggered my question, is there some good reason for posting 12 discussions in one day? Will we actually make a lot more money even if the discussions are actually just one line? Personally I dont think it pays to do this? and I cannot find that many good topics to do 12 in one day. whatis your take on this mylotters?I like to make as much as I can but just turning a bunch of discussins fullofoneline fluff will not make me more money, or am I wrong?

No, you are not wrong. I had nothing else to do with my day, so I started a few discussions. However, I looked through the boards already to see if they were already there. I do it because I have a mind that is constantly thinking of random things, and what better way to calm it down then to start a discussion over some of the things I am thinking? Starting many discussions is not the "key" to the system, like most think. You have to have a great deal of responses full of length and relevant material in order to make the money. It's a system of checks and balances, and a strong algorithm that we do not know of but that is what keeps the site running. If we all knew the "code", myLot would be a piece of junk place to discuss anything. Everyone would just give you answers that they thought would be good for money making, but not actual opinions and feelings.

You wait till I hit 500. I've got 80-90 Helium articles backed up that I'll be linking to and quoting short extracts from. 12 a day would be a minimum ;)

hi I still think a few discussions that are meaningful are better than a dozen one liners.

Hi Hatley after my short break away from hear recently I did actually list down things as I thought of them ready for my comeback LOL and that day I think I posted maybe five but normally it is one a day maybe two if I feel inspired or there are lots of things going on. I don't know whether they pay more or not. If it is a new user perhaps they are trying to achieve the 100 posts if it is someone who has been here a while perhaps they are trying to achieve a certain payout amount by the end of the month. I personally would rather quality than quantity but I suppose we are all different in how we myLot the same as we are in life eh! Ellie :D

Quality is more important to me, that is one reason I like this site. Not everything here is quality of course, but a big percentage is, and there's even positive things to be found by one-liner discussions lol.

I believe that you need only one or two responses to validate a discussion and therefore earn $0.01. There is one member when I get my email notifications one page is filled with that person's discussions. As they are on my friends list I will keep one discussion to answer and delete the rest without even reading the, usually one line, topic as I find them boring.

Twelve fluffy one liners will not do anyone any good. But it is entirely possible to start 12 decent discussions in a day depending on how much time you have and what your method of responding is. I think the most I've done in a day is 6 because I like to answer most of my responses...not all, but most...and 6 discussions is about all I can stay on top of inbetween my family and other mylot activities.

Maybe those peolple who post 12 discussions, and mainly one-liners, think that it makes them more money, which obviously is not the case. I think a one-liner doesn't make you any money at all. I haven't looked at the number of posts they have, but it can't be very many, because they would have noticed then that there is no point. What I find even stranger is that sometimes people respond to those "discussions". I see a one-liner, and that's it, next page, please. But you're right, I rather don't post a new discussion then post somehing senseless. And coming up with a good topic I manage maybe once a day, if it is that much LOL.

I have to agree with you 100%. Some of the new discussions being posted are really very silly and or make no sense. My opinion! But.....some are very good and very interesting. And thanks for noticing and saying something about it.

I rarely post my own discussion and when I do I make sure my discussion is well worth discussing and not just a 1 liner. I don't think mylot will pay for a one liner discussion. Posting 12 discussions in a day would be tough unless you get a good topic to discuss. I don't think useless discussions will be paid for. Just post a discussion with whatever your heart feels like discussing..don't just push yourself to it because that's a goal to do..Longer and with meaning discussions are paid more here as I know.

Thanks for tagging me as the best response. It is well appreciated out of all this people who responded to you. We just have to make the best about how we make our discussions and how we response to each one of them. I guess that is a key to success here at mylot. Take care!

hi p3halliwe2005 I dont post many discussions as i take time to make them as good as I know how to do it,then do a lot more responding. I have lost points responding to one liners so no more. lol.

Hi Hatley, I was advised by an experienced Mylotter several times that posting a one liner is not a good thing to do! Plus to produce a good quality post, we have to make it a little bit longer but not too long also.. I have a hard time thinking of a topic in a day.SO, it's very lucky in a week if I can post 2 or 3 topics..I have seen few members who can post a lot in day with one liner post..I do know how it works for them! When I started, I guess I have posted 1 question and some of it are deleted!

Certainly that is a lot of discussions! Most days I struggle to update three or four discussions. And I only do that a couple times a week. Sometimes if I'm really worried or nervous about home life, I do post up to 20 discussions a day. But that is so I will have people to talk with. So that I won't feel so lonely at the house. And it does make me feel better having a chat with friends online. I do try my best to update everything. It does bother me when I see the fluff discussions, one liners and such. Why do all the honest Mylot members have to struggle so hard to stay within TOS while some people just skate by and do less than they should? It's a mystery to me! They never last long. That is for sure! Thanks for the nice discussions.

Perhaps, they are full-time mylotters interested in experimenting a bit more than most of us normally do. I just skip such hordes of discussions because I can't devote all my online time to one friend, as others are important too. You are right, one liners cannot go on longer like a conversation and so they don't fetch more. The higher number of (responses + comments), the better is the pay, is what I've come to believe from my experience.

You have a great point, hatley. Like you, I dont see any relevance in posting 12 one-liner posts. It is somewhat annoying since it is similar to our well-hated spams. On the otherhand, we can just influence people by making them aware that those one liners will not make them earn more. I think a lot of people needs to be educated on how things really work here in MyLot. I, myself, havent learned a lot except for one thing - I will not get rich here. With almost 800 posts, I havent even reached a payout! Funny, but it is true. But I am not complaining, a lot of people here are up for the earnings... and they think the more posts, the better... quality afterall is not even tantamount to the length of the message. And, we can tag negative ratings if we want to. Good day!

i fully agree with you..it actually does not make sense starting a one line discussion and morover 12-13 such discussions in a day..well i answer one or two of those and just delete which i dont feel like answering..i dont think this way will be benificial earning wise as well..anyway we always have a choice as to what to answer and i am glad..have a nice day..

well if the person who has strtd the discussion is a friend i try to answer one or two discussion of theirs...i try to answr more and start about two discussions or maybe three in a day...very rarely too many and never 12 or 13..because i will not be able to respond back to so many people thanking them everyday..

I am not sure about how much money it would or wouldn't make hatley and whilst I could never keep up with posting this many discussions that is my choice - as long as people don't expect me to answer that many posts in one day it must work for them to post that many so I don't think anything of it really! Then again I have so much trouble keeping up with the discussions that do come in these days! Hugs xx

Hi Hatley.. i hope that i am not the firing line of yours,haha.. as i don't start one liners...Even if start too much of topics, i make it a point to visit once in a while to my friends discussions and respond to them.. And, by the way,.. i never respond to one liners? It is just irritating, like you said.

well if these 12 discussions are interesting and different, i don't really see why not. someone has to start discussions so that we can respond right? i'm not so much of a discussion starter. i prefer to respond to discussions. so if someone is kind enough to start 12 discussions a day, i sure am happy to have more discussions to respond to. cheers ;p

I'm with you, hatley. I don't know if we make more money or not but it sure wastes my time when people post nonsense discussions on here. I have to sift thru many posts to find something worth responding to. If they had some substance then it would be ok. Me? I can't think of that many things in a week really. I am not good at all at starting discussions. There are some on here that post quite an amount of really good discussions and I admire them for that. It's the nonsense ones that just take up space. I would not think it would even be worth the effort of starting those types of threads.

I post discussions as soon as I think of them. One day I was at work and I was getting some good ideas for discussions, so I wrote them down on paper, and when I came home I posted them all at once. I think it's the responses that come in later that make you the money. So post your discussions as soon as you can and hope you get lots of responses!

I try to post meaningful discussions. If you just post oneliners like what's your favorite color, it's doubtful you make much off it. And I believe people have grown tired of those anyway;) Still, if I really wanted to, I could come up with twelve meaningful discussions in a day about topics of interest and news and stuff, but it would take time just so one wouldn't repeat somebody elses post. I don't think that's worth it, lol. Personally, I enjoy being here, reading the posts and replying to some I have something to add to. The money is certainly a perk and it's what brought me to this place in the first place, but it's not my main motivation for staying, it's the community. I can earn more money elsewhere with less effort in the amount of time it takes to earn a $1 here;) It's been my impression that the oneliners often come from newbies who eventually will figure out that it is way too much effort for the few cents they'll get from it. They either slow down and post better discussions or disappear...
