i have always been someone who loves the baech, growing up my parents took us to rosebud beach for xmas holidays every year..
mum always took us down to the beach at night to watch the ships passing and i loved it my other 3 sisters and my brother were'nt too crash hot on the idea of sitting watching ships pass, but me i loved it and i always snuggled into my mumma..
now today im 42 and i still love the beach more at night than day time its just a place thats soooo peaceful at night..i go down with my hubby or if he isnt there i go with a group of friends, i just love it summer or winter..winter time we just grab the blankets some wood and head down there nd build a little fire and its just beautiful..
so does anyone else have beautiful memories of growing up watching ships passing in the night..
hugs

Where I'm house sitting is about 27 miles from the ocean. When I lived here with my dad, I would go to the beach every day. Even when I was going to college, I would go on my break...it was a 4 hour break between classes. I would go and situate myself on one of the sand dunes and either read or just watch the fishermen do their thing. I so miss actually living here!

I spent 43 years in southern California. Spent many days and nights at the beaches in Malibu, Santa Monica, Zuma, and Newport.
I always wanted to buy a house on the beach when I retired and just listen to the waves and watch the surf at night. There is no more beautiful sight or sound. Unfortunately I married a hillbilly from Tennessee and now we live in a backwoods, land locked, mosquito ridden town without a beach within 500 miles. Oh well, I couldn't afford a beach house in California now anyway. lol
