Is there now, or has there ever been a situation in which Crocs are appropriate footwear? They are the ugliest shoes I've ever seen, and I've been a sho freak all my vry long life. Somebody got the idea of making a cheap, unattractive molded plastic shoe, giving it outrageous colors, and charging about $40 a pair! I've expected them to be cute on little kids, but when I saw some boy and girls wearing them, they were still ugly. In fact, they far surass the ugliness of Uggs! How gullible are we? I have moe pairs of shoes than I want to admit, because Imelda Marcos would be hurt, but I'm proud to say none of them are Crocs. Not even Jellies, which are cute on little girls. Somebody became very rich on these hideaous shoes, and they're laughing all the way to the bank!

I totally agree with you. I don't find them attractive at all. If someone bought me a pair I would wear them to go check my mail or do stuff outside, but as far as an outfit, NO.... I personally can't see an outfit that goes with those shoes. Same thing when people go to the store with their big fluffy animal slippers. But to each their own.

Took the words right out of my mouth! I remember when I first heard of them - it was on Donald Trumps Apprentice and the challenge was to do something, whatever it was with Crocs shoes. I remember thinking - "Who's shoes?" But don't remember them showing a pair. But Old DOnald praised the shoe and its creator as the best shoe ever to set foot on feet. I was in a store later, and saw a display and literally blinked three or four times - first to fully take in how ugly and stupid they looked, then it occured to me, these are what Donald Trump said were so great? Guess his taste for shoes is at the same place he gets his hair done.

Very obvious now that you point it out!

The benefit of crocs is supposed to be comfort and the problem I have with them is that in Trinidad its about 225.00 Trinidad dollars for a pair. I know that in the US they are fairly cheap but the importers into Trinidad are not giving us that luxury. Mostly I wear leather shoes because artificial shoes make my feet sweat and after a while they get sick.

That's another obvius problem. You're in the Islands, and I'm in South Florida, so we're sweating just about all the time. The plastic or whatever they make those things from is going to increase thesweating of the feet, and I'd hate that!

Uggs are at least warm in the winter. Crocs have no redeeming value, far as I am concerned!

hahaha Crocs is not appropriate footwear.. I prefer cute flat shoes, wedges,or high heels.Shoes is really depend from the interest ^_^ I'm not crocs fans But I think crocs can become useful shoes too especially in the rainy days, don't need to be worry anymore when crocs meet water in the street. What do you think about this? Also for me,crocs is kind of comfy shoes.. Imagine about nice velvet shoes meet water in the street when it's rain..that nice velvets shoes will be damaged suddenly..(I already had this experience) So crocs can become my interest too ^_^ Even i'm still not agree with the prices--it's not reasonable,,it's too high for rubber shoes ^_^

You've given me a good idea. I think I'll get some of the cheap knock-offs to keep in the car for rainy days. Still, my decent shoes would be in my hand to make the change when I get inside wherever I'm going.

I'm a HUGE Crocs fan - it gives everyone a big laugh! My husband was given a pair by our daughter a few years ago, and when he saw them I was sure he'd never wear them. When he did, he really loved them - and after a while I'd find myself popping them on to go into the backyard - so eventually my husband AND daughter each bought me my own pair(s) that Christmas! I go everywhere in them - they are so comfortable and warm - and I've never cared about how I look or what people think. My parents laughed at them - then ended up buying themselves a pair each, and my father has actually had incredible improvement with the numbness he was experiencing in his lower legs. Since having them, I've never worn anything else, so I'm happy for the inventors to laugh on their way to the bank - they've made me very happy and comfortable and my Dad can feel his toes again! Bonus!

I'm not being sarcastic when I say I'm glad they're good for somebody. They do look somewhat like my rubber gardening clogs, but I only wear those when I know I'll get all muddy in the yard. Enjoy your Crocs. If they're right for you, they're right!
