When i am at work i prefer to be left alone to do my job most of the time. On the rare occasion when i want to be social at work, no one is around.

I like your post. Interesting!I don't think it is behavioral nor genetic. Sometimes it all depends on the kind of people we have around. From my experience, there are work mates who simply enjoy too much talking even going to the extend of having nonsense talks (like talking about other people's lives). For me, they are totally unprofessional and wastes a lot of money and time. I have to keep my job even if i don't like some people around so the best way is to shut my mouth and keep on working. In this way, i won't be putting myself in trouble cuz sometimes talking nonsense brings trouble later on. As they say, less talk, less mistake. I am very much happy at home and there's just a lot of things to talk about... any different experience?

Well maybe they work better when their like that. Maybe they can concentrate better if they don't talk and they just focus in their work. But personally, if like that, I'll be like really bored with work. I mean, I get by with my 8 hours of shift because of my friends..

it is a personality type. there are persons who choose to work alone or stay alone. i don't think it is a behavioral problem. although we know that we, as human beings, are social. we tend to work with groups and survive in groups. but deviants to this group are common, especially now that our society is getting too defined and people simply refuse to be defined.

Well, I don't like to be around too many people too much, but there are a few select people who I love to be around, but only a few, not many. A lot of the time I am alone in my room on this computer, but that's mostly because the gas prices suck and I especially don't feel like spending money hehe.

dear knightrider, i really think that living alone is dangerous, however some people do prefer living alone, you can't argue with them! lol but i don't think that living alone is healthy mentally because you have no one to talk to when you get home from a long hards days work. it doesn't seem righ tto me
