I do not like my hubby when his beard grows too much as it is ginger for a start in comparison to his blonde hair and he looks way older. But when it is just starting to grow back and he has that rough edge look, that is nice. Also if it gets too long then I end up with a rash on my face.

I think it's the bald head. The goatee works well because it's the only hair on his head. Clean shaved may look better if he had hair. But there's no way he'll grow that back, and I wouldn't want him to either. He's been shaving it about 8 years now, and I must say he does look better bald.
