Travel Sickness has anyone any ideas?

I am the mother of 3 children aged 3, 5 and 7. My seven year old has never been sick in the car or on a bus, ever, but my two youngest have always suffered from chronic travel sickness from the age of about one! When I say chronic I mean that sometimes we have not even got our home town before one has made use of the bucket. I have tried numerous ways to stop it but nothing seems to be working. Phenegon, sickness tablets, eating starchy foods, wristbands even sitting on newspaper which was suggested by my aunt but I now realise is an old wives tale.
Does anyone else have this problem and what else do you do to help relieve the situation?

i also was plagued with this for my childhood. i didnt grow out of it till i was about 12yrs sorry to say and worse of all my mom took us on long trips to grandmas for every holiday
i finally grew out of it. mostly it happened because of having to sit in the back seat and not much can be done about that since they insist on little ones being in a car seat in the back these days. and you are right. it was best i didnt eat anything way before and certainly not during
sorry i cant give you a help. but its common problem.

You could not dismiss what your aunt said as oldwives tale. Because regular intake of starchy foods helps.. TO be frank with you, even i had the problem when i was young.. and the worse thing was i had that even when i was in 16 .
My Grand parents advised me to take more of starch foods and along with them some carbohydrate contents.. It is really worked.. for me.. careful revision of their diets may also help you a bit, other than this.
Have a good day.

Hi ya 's'
Sorry you got me wrong there, what meant to say was that sitting on newspaper was my aunts suggestion but it didn't work at all but I was willing to try it. I have found in the past that them eating breadsticks and plain biscuits has helped but on other occassions it hasn't at all! I make sure that they don't consume anything too liquidy and try not to leave for a long journey too soon after they have eaten. I hope they will grow out of it soon as I am sure that is the way it will happen.
Thank you for responding
