All I can say is WTF?!? I understand the troops need to have wound training, but to shoot live, innocent, animals just to get wound care training that is ridiculous. Someone needs to do a major overhaul over what the armed forces are allowed to do. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,385545,00.html

First off, pigs, do you eat bacon, pork chops, or ham? And what do you want them to do, practice on humans? These medics, in particular, need specialized training to use in the field. If that's what it takes for them to get the training they need, then go for it, it's a pig! If shooting a pig, and the medics learning how to save a life from the training............then it's worth a few 100 pigs. My son-in-law is in the Army, and has returned safely from 3 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afganistan. But, if he had been wounded and the medics saved his life because of training back in the states that took shooting a pig......then I'm all for it! But, if you want to save the little pigs (which by the way aren't little), after signing the 'save the piggies' petition would you please step into the next line and sign up to be used for medical training purposes, so that the men and women fighting for YOUR freedom can receive the medical treatment they need to come back home.
