750 years old!!!

I live in Amersfoort in The Netherlands and my city celebrates his 750th birthday next year. The preparations for a great birthdayparty are in full swing. The bishop Hendrik an Vianden gave Amersfoort his cityrights on the 12th of june 1259. So in 2009 this will be 750 years!
So where do you live and do you know how old your city is?

Wow, that's very old! I am not sure how old my city is, but it's not that old in comparison. My country is only 200 and some years old hahhaa
