Cheating on mylot...

I have seen this posted here a time or two and am wondering...How does one "cheat" on this site? I thought this was a discussion site, not a game site. I can see how people would cheat at games,but how do they cheat at discussions???? Any ideas out there??? I just don't get it....

Well cheating may not very well mean just on mylot but for mylot members as well. A cheater could approach a respectful member and cheat them by asking to exchange referrals and not signing up under them for sites. A cheater can also make a few different accounts here and post on all of them. Welcome to mylot by the way!

I am glad that you could not and I wish more people would think like that. Although I must admit that I can somewhat understand their fancying for the money.

Technically, anything prohibited by the Terms of Service is cheating.
The copy/paste feature is for copying longer passages of text from elsewhere as long as you properly give credit to the original source.
You should not copy and paste your own answer multiple times in different discussions. I mean you can answer many discussions about the same subject, but each should be an original response, not carbon copies of each other.

My discussion telling people to stop cheating and read the guidelines got deleted so hopefully this one will fair better. There are lots of ways to cheat...having multiple accounts, using copy/paste incorrectly, stealing other posts, stealing from yahoo answers...that's just the most obvious list and I'm sure there are more. Plus there are a lot of behind the scenes ways to cheat...like figuring out how to copy/paste under 500 posts, or finding a way to post above the image uploading limits, or even just lying about age since users under 16 can't be here.

I'm with you on that one, I don't get it either. Unless they are talking about people signing up under more than one user name, and putting themselves as a 'referral'. Other than that, how do you cheat when it is discussions, I for one can't go online somewhere and copy and paste my response to a discussion, because it is my opinion, and my way of thinking, not someone else's. Well maybe we'll get an answer to your question.

Trying to find a "loophole" to MyLot perhaps? 
There is only one way I can think of, copy & pasting. I tried this for an entire day but I didn't take any content from other users of MyLot, and it help me get 60 extra cents that what I would usually get.
It was actually quite amusing.
