some Kittehs can't handle their soft food

One of our cats LOVES soft food as a treat. Mostly we stick to dry kibble, but every now and then, soft food comes our way for various reasons. My aunt gave us some leftover cans when her cat's diet needs changed, and yesterday we found some closeout Organix cans at the grocery store for just 25 cents each! So, since Xena (cat in question) always hurls Fancy Feast back up within minutes to show us her appreciation, we figured Organix would go down easier. Err... She's happy as a clam right now, sleeping in a bizarre/cute position, but I think she secretly likes to regift wet food and gets a kick out of the cleanup.

poor little kitties. we had a cat that was a good mouser but she was allergic to mice. so we'd have to clean up after her. and regarding soft food i have 2 ferrets and soft food or soft treats are not good for their teeth so i am sure to give them hard treats and food. we want to take care of our little ones.

Aww, yeah, that's kinda why we avoid soft food for the most part, to keep their teeth vital. Two of the cats love the soft food, one keeps it down, one throws it up, and the third cat likes it but is vastly indifferent. Right now the soft food is mainly being used to get a little extra hydration into our UTI-afflicted cat. Great way to get her meds in, too!
