A problem with my friend!

I have a friend, who i care about very much and spend a lot of time with, who has really bad breath. How can i tell her this without upsetting her? I don't want to upset her or have her think i'm being cruel to her, but if i have noticed it i'm sure others must have to and i wouldn't want people to be saying things about her behind her back! Has anyone else been in this situation? what do you guys think i should do?

i know exactly wat to do if a friend has breath, bad breath. ok well one thing is that you could hang out with friend one day and be sure bye breath strips or mints and eat one cassually infront of her and give one to her then just give her the whole packet of mints or breath strips and tell her you dont need them. if your friend takes there is like a 90 percent chance she will eat them like evryday, and another way is to talk to her in private and tell that her breath is bad and be sure to have enough counter examples if she gets mad and thinks your cruel. but your not i know that for sure because you are helping yyour friend annd are a nice friend

Thanks for your response! I'm glad you realised i'm not trying to be nasty, i would never want to upset her for the world! i am asmoker so i always have gum with her and offer it to her when we're together, she usually takes it and even has gum in her own handbag but it doesn't change anything! I think i'm going to have to just talk to her and be honest about it! Thanks for the advice!
