Here is a solution to many of our problems!

Oil and gas prices are high. Farmers crops are being diverted to fuel instead of feeding people and livestock. People do not want more drilling that would endanger the environment. Landfills are overflowing. Mining for minerals is damaging the environment. Fresh water is in short supply due to droughts and contamination. Disposing of contaminated pland crops and diseased animals is a haelth hazard. Disposing of plastics and tires is costing more and more and the "trash" from these two products alone can last for decades before it even starts to breakdown. Food costs more because of transportation costs and less food available in the markets. Problems, problems, and even more problesm than I have listed here. Now, what if I told you there is ONE simple solution to ALL of these problems? And, what if I told you that this solution is not something that MIGHT be available in the future, it is HERE TODAY? Not only is it here today, a working commercial plant was built FOUR YEARS ago! That's right. There is a company that can take and process garbage, trash, junk; and turn it into a high grade oil, natural gas, refined minerals, and sterilized water! Even better, this plant gets 80% of its own energy from the heat that is generated in producing those products! And, the process produces no emissions and no secondary hazardous waste streams. WHY AREN"T WE USING THIS ALL AROUND THE WORLD???? Think it is "too good to be true" - here is a link to the company's home page - http://www.changingworldtech.com/index.asp Check out the press releases and other links on the site. The plant opened in May 2004, by May 2006 the plant was operating at 30% capacity and was shipping 6,000 barrels of high grade bio diesel per month - at full capacity, the plant can produce and ship 20,000 barrels of bio diesel per month PLUS unknown amounts of natural gas, refined minerals, and water. If every state had ONE fully operation plant taking in the waste from the state - the landfills would have less in them and the US could generate 1 MILLION barrels of oil every month. To turn the bio diesel into gasoline, diesal, kerosene, etc would require refineries to process the oil; but we would not need to drill any new wells anywhere. Pass the word. Let others know about this. We HAVE the technology to make the world a better place and a less expensive one. What do you think about this?

At the link I did not find anything as to whether or not these plants run profitably. When they produce a barrel of biodiesel, can they sell it for more than it cost to make it? That's what will make all the difference. Perhaps, this question was addressed but I did not see it.

The closest they come to addressing that topic is here - http://www.changingworldtech.com/information_center/index.asp?id=6 and as you can see that is not clear even here; but, they do expect the plant will be profitable when it reaches full capacity. With oil at it's current price; it is a lot easier for this biodiesel to be sold at a profit AND this site does not even touch on the income from other byproducts (gas, minerals, and pure water). You also have to remember that this plant is the FIRST of it's kind. A lot of the original expense that went into developing this technology will NEVER be incurred at new plants because the "bugs" have been worked out and the parts for the plant have already been designed and can be made much less expensively that the original parts and equipment. It is always less expensive to mass produce something instead of making an original custom one-of-a-kind item.

in a word- money! no one knows about these things because the government wants to keep things as is. the rich rich and the poor - well poor. if these plants were all over the world, do you realize that those in power would become powerless- which means bad news for them. and they dont like that kind of news. then you would get the people that say that those kind of plants would be a hazard - fires might break out, pollution in the air and so on. so for every one great idea, there are the people behind saying oh no, that would be worse than what we are doing now. cause and effect.
