We use our surname that comes from our father, but to the girls that will going to get married, they will change their surname and use the surname of His husband to be. what will you do if you love the man, but your surname is more pleasant to hear than of him?

when i got arried, the very first thing that came into my mind was to lose my surname.i ususally wrote my namewith my moms maiden name and my surname because they all sounded very good...i asked a nun relative and she told me that i can use "de",so i did.though i had to let go of my moms maiden name.it was ok then,at least i could keep my dads, also my husbands surname is quite nice to hear too.

at the first month of my marriage life , i keep on mistake of using my maiden name, it is because i am always use my mothers surname in filling up some forms, but as time goes by. i learned to place my own surname at the middle and my husband surname at last.

I will keep his surname. I will be married to him so I have to use his. It doesn't matter what your surname would be, what matters most is the love that you feel for each other. Happy postings. HUGZ!

Hi Nice, I suppose you can keep your surname, right. Some married ladies choose to be addressed by their maiden names like Ms... rather than Mrs... I've also heard of some cases, where married ladies can combine their husband's and their surnames together, like for example Alice George married Sam Smith, so Alice can opt to be called Mrs Alice Smith-George.

not sure what you mean, but i loved every surname i ever had. i love the one my dad gave me. then when i was 8 i was adopted by my step dad and liked that one. i was married 5 times and liked each one, but the one i love the most is the one i have now, because it is the one my late hubby gave me when we were married and now that hes gone, i've still never changed it.
