Do you enjoy eating at a fast food restaurant very often?Have you ever been eating at a fast food restaurant and found something odd in your food? If so, how did you react to it being in your food? Were you angry that it was in your food or did you take it with a grain of salt and approach the staff of the restaurant kindly? How did the staff react to you once they found out that something was wrong with your order? If not,how would you react if you found something in your food?Me and my fiance eat fast food more often then we should, and we try to eat more at Subway since it is a lot healthier for our bodies, and the whole reason I started this discussion is because me and my fiance were recently in another county when my mom called and asked us to meet her for dinner, because she needed to go to Wal Mart, and we decided on Chick Fil-A since it was something that we had not had in a long while, and it is something that all three of us will eat,and after ordering our food we sat down to eat, myself,my fiance and my mother all got milkshakes, but at the bottom of mine was a nozzle from what we originally thought was the machine, which we figured out after digging it out of the cup,we found out though, that it was actually off of a box that the milkshakes come in or something like that and the guy behind the counter reassured us that it had not been touched and that he apologized for it being in the milkshake, which it did not bother me that much so I told him it was alright,,I feel that if a person treats you kindly you should do the same to them, and I didn't see any harm in it being in the milkshake as their was no residue that would make me think that it had been tainted or anything of the sort and since the guy showed me and my fiance respect when we approached him and saw that it was a serious matter,I showed him respect too ,I jokingly asked my mother if she wanted to take it home as a souvenir and of course she refused as I knew she would,as always I would like to ask that you take this discussion seriously as I hope that you take all of my other discussions seriously, and please respond seriously, because I hope that if you read my discussions you will answer the questions that I ask,and will enjoy reading and responding to all that I write as a member of this fine community, have a great day.

I do enjoy going out to eat with you and your parents, I don't think I have ever found something odd in my food before but if I did I think I would act accordingly. That is to say, if the proprietor or the proprietor's staff acted in a rude manner, I would also act equally as rude. If they were concerned because I found something in my food, or if they were apologetic I would accept it and finish eating my food. I think that as long as the staff of the restaurant are polite then their is no reason for me to be upset. I love you!

I am glad that you enjoy going out to eat with me and my parents, and that is good that you do not think you have ever found anything odd in your food, and that is good that you would act accordingly, because if the proprietors staff is rude and does not show concern, then they deserve rudeness back, but if the show concern and attempt to apologize for the incident, then you should accept it,and not give them a hard time, I love you too, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I work fast food (KFC) but I really don't eat it very often. That being said, I understand how things could get into food, but I have never seen any tainted food served at our restaurant. It is very possible (and probable) that a hair or two might have gotten in, but when everyone wears hats/hairnets, this is not a big problem. We have open containers holding side items in the front of the store, and if food were to be tainted, it would be from something falling into these. We have accidentally dropped markers and other things into them before, but always had to throw away the contents of the pan. I think as long as you watch whoever is preparing your food you should be fine. I know that in the news a man in New York is trying to sue subway because he claims that there was a knife baked into his sandwich. (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20080716/twl-life-newyork-sandwich-knife-dc-bd5ae06.html) I think this is a load of codswallop. I know that my restaurant is very clean compared to many fast food restaurants, but a knife could only get into the bread if someone placed it there. Although, at work many of us do carry knives or razor blades to open boxes in the back, we are attached to our knives and would notice if we misplaced them.

That is cool that you work at KFC and I can understand that you do not eat it very often,my brother used to work at a KFC but he loved eating there food, while he was on his breaks,or on his days off,and yeah it can be expected that there will be a time or two wear a hair will get in the food, and yeah wearing hats or hairnets helps reduce the risk, and that sucks that you have dropped markers and things into them before, and that you ended up having to throw the contents of the pan,and yeah I agree as long as you watch who is preparing your food you should be fine, and thats crazy that he is trying to claim that a knife was baked into his sandwich, and that is true the only way a knife could have gotten there is if someone had placed it there, and yeah I am sure that most of ya'll do carry a knife or razor blade to open boxes, and I bet ya'll would notice if ya'll misplaced them, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

When I lived in Alaska there was a mexican restaurant that had pretty good food. It wasn't unusual to find the core of the iceburg lettuce in one of our salads. The proprietor wasn't concerned and finally we just quit going there. I am the type of person that tips according to the service I receive. Of course, I got to where I tipped lesser amounts at that restaurant.

That sounds like a very annoying experience, especially if it happened frequently where you found the core of the iceburg lettuce in your salads, and you think the proprietor would be more concerned about customer satisfaction, and I do not blame you for stopping going there, and I agree it is appropriate to tip based on the service, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

That's odd. At least it could have been worse, lol. I've found hair stuck inside my food before, but I ended up eating the food anyway, lol. I don't care. This nozzle thing is really odd though. I've read stories online about gross and weird things that have been found in food. After reading all of those stories I think I'd prefer the nozzle, lol.
