Do you ever wake up early then want to go back to sleep?

This morning I woke up at 5:40 and I was wide awake so I got on the computer. I didn't have to get up until 7, but I was very alert. Now it is 6:46 and I am tired and ready to go back to sleep. Do you ever wake up early like this, then get tired just before it is time for you to wake up?

Well, it happens a lot to me. I would wake up 4 in the morning to face the computer or read a book. Just before sunrise I would feel tired and go back to sleep for an hour or so to prepare for the day.

This happens to me periodically. I plan on going running at 7:oo, but then I wake up at 5:15. So I eat a little breakfast and sit alertly watching the news until it is time. but then 6:55 comes around and I have to scrape my carcass off the couch, I'm just slothfully tired. It sucks, yo.

hi dear shlooper. it is right no doubt you get up early and are alert enough to do some work but the mind and the body are working overtime without getting full quota of rest and sleep. so it is obvious to say that the body needs full and complete rest so it will compel you to go back to sleep. in some emergency or while at some function you may be awake for the full night but what happens the next night? you have a tendency to to bed rather early or actually go to sleep and sleep overtime now to make up for the loss. ok now are you fully awake???? keep enjoying mylot!!!

Yes. It sucks. Especially when your twin sister is an early bird.

I have found myself doing this alot and how I hate it. I have in the past year been this way and never used to be like this. I am now trying to get back into the habit of going to bed and a certain time useally by 12:30am and geting up when ever I wake up which is 6-6:30am. I do find that I get tired if I get up to early like you have and by 7-8 am I'm tired again though I try and fight it. Going back to sleep isn't a bad thing either.
