Zoo visitors at Australia's sydney Wildlife world winced at the garden wolf spider's brood yesterday.

A hundred baby spiders are on her back and will stay there for 40 days.
I wasnt able to copy the picture onto here so have added the site for those who are brave enough to have a look.
Im sure she will have difficultly spinning her web!!
Can you imagine carrying around about 100 little ones on your back for 40 days?? Just thinking about giving birth to 100 little ones!! ouch!!

Oh, I really dont like spiders but I have to say it is interesting to look at. As long as I dont have to touch I am ok. I never knew that spiders cared for the young like that. If they stay on the moms back how do they eat and drink. What happens to one if it falls off. I guess I could look up most of those answers on line. Thank you for sharing.

I wouldnt like to touch that mummy spider in case one of the spiders became attached to me!! Its not something that you learn about, how spiders give birth and life as a parent. Im not sure how they feed whilst on the mothers back or what happens if one falls off, but Im now intrigued so will be doing some research!!
Thanks for pointing out these questions and for commenting!!
