Couple married with the same surname and now their daughter...

is to also marry someone with the same surname.
Parents Linda and ray shared the surname Dixon before marriage and will now see their daughter Ashley marry Jimmy Dixon. Linda and Ray were childhood sweetheart as are Ashley and Jimmy.
They got married in 1970 and then had an unofficial ceremony in Gretna Green where next month Ashley will marry.
Talk about keeping in it in the family. She wont have problems remembering to do her signature in her married name as it will be the same.
Can you imagine filling in a form...surname : Dixon
previous surname : Dixon
that must cause some confusion!!!

lol that is kinda of funny. i knew a couple years ago both were named terry. that was confussing. both dads of them were named terry too. should of seen it at the hospital when they had there first baby it was so funny. someone said terry and all 4 turned around. it really got confussing when you called them at home and everyone was over tehr visiting too. i havent thought about them in years. there names were
terry kelly( girl)
terry kevin ( husband)
terry kalvin (girls dad)
terry jerry ( guys dad)
so as you can see the middle intail didnt help but to get ones attention lol.

That must have been really confusing especially as all but three have the initials TK!!
Did they name the baby Terry aswell???

Maybe this will make it easier for them, it is a little different though I think unless that happens to be a common name where they live, like here in some areas a lot of unrelated people have the same last names,
that is interesting though..

I would be scared to do something like that, especially with my last name. I won't put it here, but its a surname that is common in my area, but not so common across the US. Basically they say that all people with my last name are related in some kind of way. So if I met someone that I really liked with the same last name, I would have to get a DNA test to make sure we weren't closely related. I hope they did the same, even though their name is kinda common.

That is pretty unusual. I wonder if it was a complete cooincidence or they seeked someone out with the same surname.

I dont think they seeked someone out as its pretty hard to find someone with that surname and fall in love with them.
They happen to be school sweethearts so I think it is complete coincidence!!

oooh thats madness would have had to have had nicknames for them all or like big terry little terry lol she definately wouldn't forget it though
