irritating talking advertisements

No because I usually either have the volume muted or my headset plugged in and not on! I have to say though that I know that I would be extremely irritated if it shouted at me! xxx

Hi Hatley, I just ignore, the sound is on low on the computer so therefore it doesn't annoy. What annoys me is that we really haven't won a laptop LOL and it is usually a participation thing. I can imagine though if the sound is up how it would irritate though. Ellie :D

I did get them but I have addblock with my Firefox so I have blocked them and they do not appear any more I hope that you will be able to get rid of them as they are very annoying Hugs

Hi Hatley, Great to know I am not alone here...I oftentime turn off the volume of my speaker since I really want to spank this voice, if possible..very destructing, good if it's true..LOL!

Haha, I usually always have the sound OFF on my speakers, since they seem to make weird noises, especially when one of our cell phones is about to ring. But I know what you mean. I've heard those in the past, and they irritate me too. I just haven't heard them on mylot yet.

thats a little funny. i only get startled if i've forgotten to turn off my sound. most times i use my pc, i leave the sound off and watch tv at same time. lol. only time its on is if im playing a game i need it for or watching a video or picking out a song.

Oh please, I can't get her to shut up. She follows me around and just keeps talking.

Yes, it does get extremely annoying....I turn down my volume...that way I don't have to hear it......and you haven't won anything...you have to buy something or do something to get the laptop...

I've never seen that one Hatley. But I do get one that beeps constantly and tells me that I am the 999,999 visitor. Sometimes it changes to "You are the millionth" visitor but then changes back again. They must think that I am daft!

I cannot say that I have come across this one Hatley, although I do agree that it would be really annoying to have it shouting at me while typing!

I keep my house silent because I can't tolerate noise. It takes all my attention to work on mylot and other projects. So, I'm nice and quiet, all peaceful in my head and I log onto mylot and get blasted! You should see me jump! It's a good thing I can hit the mute button. I don't even know what they're screaming about. Anyhow, the whole world is full of screaming, trying to get our attention. It's getting harder and mmore challenging to avoid excessive noise, but I'm "ready, set, mute!" when I log on now~!

oh yes it is indeed very irritating and annoying ...also one matrimony keeps opening on slightest of the movement..anyway it is a new setup..so let us try an adjust bcoz there are a lot of good things as well..take care and have a nice day..

Yes Hatley, For the last 2 days this thing has been yelling at me about that damn laptop. I was looking for a way to turn it off. It just kept going and going and there was no way to stop it. I haven't heard it yet today, and I hope I never hear it again! It really was annoying! Maybe enough people complained to Mylot and they turned it off. I thought it was just my misfortune. Sorry you had to go through it to Hatley!
