Why are scandals so rampant?

Sadly the world loves and ccraves sensationalism. I don' pay attention o the scandals. I have no desire to pay attetio to tem, and I don't want to give the people who spread them any satisfaction in knowing that I pay attentio.

That's why we think that scandal is rampant because these are public figures and public figures are always in the lime lights whether they are doing good or bad.But sadly in our country right now there are a lot of it because of corruption and other things.The only people that we ,as a citizen of a country depend on to bring us the news is the media that's why everything is publicize.

I don't think there is a rise in scandal. There is just a rise in availability of information. We are all being watched all of the time!

I really think there are so many "scandals" because the media makes a scandal out of the tiniest things. This is especially true with celebrities, it seems a celebrity can't lose or gain 5 ounces without it becoming major breaking news. The truth is, we are all humans, we all make mistakes. But a lot of people raise these celebrities up to a level of expectation that none of us can reach! It's like they are supposed to be superheroes or something, and that is simply not possible. Yes, they may have more money, and that allows them to have people to pretty much make them look perfect at all times, but think about it.. the average woman, does she wear make-up and perfect looking clothes every time she goes out? No! So why do people expect these celebrities to look perfect 100% of the time? They are basically like us except they got lucky enough to get a cool job! So you might wonder what that stuff has to do with my point, well.. it's just the fact that everything is scandalized now, if a celebrity makes one mistake or has any human imperfection it's attacked. And actually, probably about the same in politics as well, but I don't follow those scandals much. For example, the whole Britney Spears saga, to me that wasn't worthy of being scandalized, stuff like that happens everyday in real life--and we don't hear about it, because it's not our business, it's something that should remain in the hands of the courts, and the family it affects. The media can make a scandal out of anything unfortunately. And the public eats it up, that's why it works!

probably the thrills. and publicity. not in a good way. but most people are remembered for the wrong deeds. not the good one. people see the bad stuff first and then root back to the good ones if the subjects still sizzles after a while. it rarely work the other way around

Human frailty, my dear.

There are scandals all around you are right! In politics, in showbiz, in our daily life... so rampant as you yourself said! Well what is happening with the people? The answer is that people tend to live as if there is no God. Yes, they do it intentionally mostly because of greed or lust or any evil desire. They know there is God but they tend to ignore and they tend to live as if there is no judgment day awaiting them at the end of this life. As Proverbs 15:3 states: "The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good!" However why do people do still make sinful things? Solomon said it this way in Ecclesiastes 8:11: "Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil." But there is always a harvest time for each of us as apostle Paul said: Paul. "God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap" (Galatians 6:7.) And finally as King David himself wrote: Evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth" (Psalm 37:9).
