what is the place for a women?

Ok so the other day Tuesday I was ingaged in a conversation with a male co worker. One thing lead to another and he made a comment that women should notbe out in the work world. He stated that women are under men as inferior beings and that their place is in the home doing house work, makeing the meals, and careing for the husband and children. This really offened me big time as a female. I know that everyone has their own opinions on different issuse and things but that really made me mad. My thing is that there are so many women who are very sharp and know what they are talking about and know what they are a doing. Not only that but alot of times a women can do a job better than a man. If a women can get out there and do a job just as well as a man and in a lot of cases better what is the big deal? What are your views on this? What do you feel the role or place of a women is in todays socitey?

I say women can work if they want to. You are right women can be as good as men. They are some women that are better than some men at work and vice versa. Women can be a house wife if that is what she chooses to do. Times are changing. Sounds like he is jealous or threatened by women in the work force.

I think your coworker is scared that he is inferior to women and that he's probably easily replacable on the job so that's why he has such a low opinion of them. I believe, as a woman and as a working woman, that we play an important role in today's society and that we should be able to do whatever we want to do in life. Women have as many talents and capabilities as men do and deserve to be respected for the people that they are.

Well, at least he didn't say women belong in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant 
I think if a woman can perform the job then she is entitled to the job. Not all women want to be housewives. These days it seems that households need two incomes just to survive, so women should work
