I was just reading that a million plastic bags are used in one minute! Thats mind boggling. I have to admit I always ask for plastic. I know its wrong, but its easier to carry, than paper. I know plastic is made out of oil products. Becasue of the oil crisis we should really cut that out. Then there is the option of asking for paper. Paper is made out of trees. So we shouldn't really use those either. I see some people are starting to use canvas bags. I really don't want to have to carry my bag into the store, so where does that leave people like me? Are they going to have to have security at each door to make sure that the things in those canvas bags are actually paid for? This is a real dilemma for me!

Some supermarkets use bio-degradable plastic bags so i don't know why they all can't, they can do it if they want but I think the plan to make the customer pay in the future is more profitable for them.

Gee I have never seen bio-degradable plastic bags. That sounds like it would be a better option. Wonder why it hasn't been offered everywhere? Thanks for your response.
