Using Makaton with children

Hi I work in a nursery, and we have been teaching the children Makaton which is basic signing and like a basic version of the British Sign Language. Many of the children see and learn in on the tv programes they watch and we have been encouraging it in the nursery too. We have fun using it when singing at circle time, and teaching them basic words too. Also we have 3 children with special needs and it is invaluable for talking and interacting with them. Most of all, it is great as they can also interact with the other children, using the basics they have all learned. Does anyone use Makaton as an extra to communciation, and who with? Do you find it useful at all?
