Extension in unemployment passed!!!

Recently Bush signed something to get everyone an extension on unemployment.. Oh goody.. Please excuse my sarcasism but my claim ran out yesterday and I have recieved the notice friday that everyone can start signing up for it on the 20th. Yeah me. I have called and I have to jump through hoops to get it. That is if I can. So how does this decission effect you and how do you feel about it? Do any of you end up in the same boat as me?

I hope you manage to get it. I don't understand why they didn't do it earlier, but I guess they have to have 'proof' that things are hitting the fan before they do anything about it. So much for prevention. My brother is currently in the same boat as you are, and I had to listen to him rant for a couple of hours. Not that I blame him in the least. I'm pissed for him. It seems like these programs are always a little too late.

Tell your brother to call the Unemployment Line and file a new claim and then they will explain how to go from there I'm just waiting on the decision right now then if it's not in my favor I fight.

I sure hope it works out for you and you end up getting the extension. Politicians really pi$$ me off, Bush threatened to veto bill after bill because an unemployment extension was included among other things he didn't like but now he finally gives in and tries to take credit for it although it's too late for many people. In case you haven't figured it out, Bush is one person I'm very glad will soon be unemployed!

Thanks so much for the BR! I'm with you, I'd love to see these politicians live on what the average person has to get by on. They wouldn't survive, and I mean that literally, they wouldn't survive and if they had to figure out how to stretch a very small amount of money until the next payday and still be able to feed their families, heat their homes, and heaven forbid if they had a medical emergency!

Yep I think we should put it on reality t.v. LOL!! That way we can phone in for what type of disaster they have to face on a budget. LOL!!! They have no clue to about our lives and they can't even begin to imagine what we are going through.

I so wish something would happen and that he would have to live off of 20k a year and that's it and see how he does it .. I honeslty think everypresident should have their first year salary 150% below the poverty level to see how some people live and how the system works for them and for them to get a better idea of what some people go through .. Heck make them to that for 2 yrs. I wonder what they would do then !!!!
