What is written on the ring?

"One Ring to rule them all, one Ring to find them, one Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them". These are actually from longer verse: Three rings for the Elven kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf lords in their halls of stone, Nine for mortal man doomed to die, One ring for the Dark Lord on his dark throne, In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie, One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them, One ring to bring them all, And in the darkness bind them, In the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

The first post already answered your question. The passage is taken from the books. But I thought Gandalf already told Frodo what was written on the ring in the FIRST movie. Don't tell me you fell asleep on that one too.

Well the font is beyond my knowledge but as gandalf says the meanin of the writing on the ring is the ring to control all other rings that were given to elf human dwarf...

The inscription on the ring that appears when it is cast in fire says....Ash nazg durbatuluk ash nasg gimbatul ash nasg thrakatuluk agh bursum-ishi krimpatul ( in the fictional Black language of Mordor)....one ring to rule them all, one ring to find them, one ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
