I really like this quote. Pen is mightier than the sword. The sword can be lifted only for violence but the pen has much more power to turn or divert anything. The words that are etched with a pen can have deep meaning, can have impacts on people. Thus I do believe that the pen is much more powerful and mightier than the sword.

I think words have a great power that is for sure. Whether or not they are mightier than the sword I dont know. I think it is a discussion worth having bt I dont know if you will ever find out the answer to that one.

Depends on how you saying it. In the real life world, the sword would be mightier then the pen.
As in the saying, the pen is indeed mightier then the sword and that makes a lot of sense if you think about it.

A weak man could not lift the mightest of all swords, yet could write the most powerful and most moving story that could change politics and universal ideas.
The strongest man could fight an entire nation or country, bodyslamming everyone left, right and centre without breaking a sweat; however, the same man would be pinned to the floor trying to battle through words and punctuation trying to string together a sentence that is syntactically and grammatically correct.
The pen and the sword are as strong as the person who is using them; but, in my view, the pen is stronger. Not that I am weak! It's more along the lines of what I prefer: I would achieve more using a pen than the sword.

I believe that statement can be true. However, it truly depends on two questions: How sharp is the edge of your tongue; and how sharp is the edge or your wit?I have effected change with a scathing letter, whereas going in to someone's office and threatening them with violence would ony have gotten me arrested. Additionally, the people on the receiving end of my criticism were figuratively spanked for their behaviour. It hit them right in the wallet.
Even a carefully worded phrase can force people more effectively, more precisely, than the strength of a man's arm. We live in the age of information, cloistered in our own homes, curled obsessively over our keyboards as a global community, more rarely coming within in physical proximity with anyone than ever before. As such, I believe that the pen truly is mightier than the sword.
