I used to extremely active on Yuwie, but of late things have changed. The new add on sign in which you have to skip, and the same ole same ole. Full of clubs and gurus who offer to help you then run a mile, and some idiots creating fake profiles and then bothering the female members (ive had two this week). Its not what I joined for. I love THIS site, I joined mylot 2 weeks ago, but was only reminded today, by an old email, that I was a member. Ive been on all day and have really enjoyed the discussions I have been involved in. Informative, helpful and stimulating. So to all you mylotters out there, compare and tell me what you think. Yuwie vs. MyLot

I like Mylot much more than Yuwie. i have been a Yuwie member for about a month, and already got tired of it. It always seems to me that the time spent there is not worth it at all. Most of the comments are boring, and usually do not carry any meaning. In other words, there's no value in Yuwie activities, except for the long waiting for the final payment. The happiness of people who actually get their payment seems to be so exaggerated by them (unconsciously); and I would not feel so happy to get 10$ after few month of Yuwie surfing 24/7. I lack a good discussion there, and acknowledgment of who its members are (mostly individuality is not shown there).

I totally agree. I feel like I can express myself here. Yuwie seems to be all pretty pictures and no content. Thanks for adding your thoughts on this subject.

I just go back to yuwie whenever I get their notices that a member has left me a message or I get a friend request. Other than that, I really couldn't be bothered anymore. Aside from the freezing, I also got annoyed with those verification measures that they've put up. No matter how times I input the right code, I never get past those. I'm trying to make up for lost time here in mylot nowadays, having been inactive for the better part of the previous year and earlier this year. It's great to see that they've done a lot of improvements here. It's also good to hear that the site's pretty established in sending out payments. Makes the time spent here all the more worth while. Welcome to mylot, btw, hope you'll find this site engaging like most of us have.

Thanks for responding craving. I really am finding it engaging. There's always somewhere to go for a discussion, and I love all the different points of view. Its exactly what I was looking for in a social site, none of this competing to get the most views, and cheating too. I must say I have made a few very decent friends on Yuwie, but they too are looking for something else, disillusioned is the word I think! Thanks to MyLot for filling a niche and giving us what WE want.

Yuwie seems to be full of people purely out to make money instead of using it as an actual social network, and there's too many scammers/ people trying to get referals for other programs. The clubs for the subjects I'm interested in don't have many people posting in them either.

oh and the constant "skip to contuine" adverts are annoying too.

Thanks jend80, your right about scammers, they all profess to be gurus and most of them are just getting referrals, and I also hate those new adds, they are driving me crazy.
