Do you believe Bigfoot is real and, if so, what do you think it may be?

Bigfoot goes by several names depending on where you are in the world (Yowie, Sasquatch, Yeti, etc.), but the general descriptions and evidence show a very similar creature. Do you find the evidence convincing and what do you think it might be (the Missing Link, a variety of ape, a completely unknown species, etc.)?

I personally think that its a combination of people making up things that they have seen and people mistaking things like bears, gorillas and even polar bears for something else due to these things people have made up. I am not closing my mind on the fact that it could exist, but people have been going on about it for decades and if anyone really believed it they would spend their whole time looking for it as it would make them very rich.

Actually, a lot of people have done just that. The problem is that it's hard to find financing for such a thing and it's very expensive.

Actually, there are alot of things on this Earth we have not found yet..new species found every day. It could be out there and just living in solitude. If this is the case, I feel it's a gigantopithicus..or it's something like that? (Giant Ape?)It doen't worry me ..but why not? Every day in the Amazon a new species, or one we used to think went extinct, is found!

I haven't really done much research on that creature yet. I did tape some show about it that came on around Halloween time, but I haven't watched it yet. I'll check it out.

I think there is a good possiblity that Bigfoot is a real creature of some sort. My favorite theory is that it's a offshoot from the pre-historic creature, Giganto Pithicus. There are a lot of things in this world that we still don't understand and/or haven't come across yet. 100 years ago, we all "knew" that the cilocanth was an extinct fish. Now, we have actually footage of live ones off the coast of Africa. Go figure. I can't say with any certainty that bigfoot exists, nor can I say it doesn't. I'm just saying that there is a good chance that there is something out there that we, as humans, haven't managed to document yet.

The evidence that speaks for the existence of Sasquatch and speaks against the existence of Sasquatch only seems to grind and to conflict against itself

I personally do believe that there is a creature out there. There is a fascinating book that I'm reading at the moment.... Its all about a guy called Tom Slick.... Now Tom Slick was a well educated man... He was a pre-med biology major at Yale University... Slick made many expeditions in search of various Cryptids, including the Abominable Snowman in the Himilayas... In the book, there are many expedition reports, not just from Slick, but other explorers and even some from the Army... I truly believe in these creatures, anyone who reads the book will... I think there may be a good possibility that they may exist, more so than say the loch ness monster. My thought is that if they're anything like humans only a little more hairy, a poopulation of 20 could keep going for a few generations and in the vast wilderness they would be pretty hard to find.

There are over 400 reported sightings a year. Goodness knows how many sightings go unreported due to people fearing that they will be ridiculed. I think it's neanderthal man that due to it's wildnerness surroundings did not evolve into a "domesticated" human being.
