DANGIT!!!! I've been thinking about that big platter of hot wings I was going to order, all freaking week. Today I get on a bus in miserable weather, ride as close to the restaurant as I could, walk the last few blocks, in the rain, put down my bag (I was going to go to work ater, so I had all my stuff with me), and when I tried to order those wings, she told me they were all ou!!!!! Dangit, dangit, dangit!! I'M PI$$ED OFF!! Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Yeah awhile back I was going to order a 2 piece chicken dinner at Church's resturant. They were out of white meat. I don't like dark meat. So I ordered the chicken bites or something else. Anyhow I didn't care from them. I hope the next time I order from them they have white meat. I was pretty disappointed. I don't blame you a bit for being upset after walking all that way and in the rain also.

It's nice to read from the comments that many people have been there before, some even when ordering similar food to the food that I ordered.

Yeah, I have been in a restaurant and been all excited over a menu item just for them to not have it. Actually, there was a restaurant my friend and I used to go to SPECIFICALLY for one dessert they had. And one time we went there JUST to get dessert and they were all out. BUMMER!

Oh I know the FEELING!!! It's bad eough when you select something off of the menu and they don't have it, but it is 100 times worse when you have been looking forward to a certain dish all week, and they don't have it!!!! I think that restaurants should give free food to people when they don't have somehing on the menu that someone asks for.

LOL Not lately, but I think we got that once before too. I"m not the biggest fan of wings - although I'll eat them and enjoy - but hubby and kids love them. Lately I have been making them in the microwave. Nicely seasoned and with plenty of soy sauce and Worcestershire's sauce. It's not exactly the same thing as the ones we buy, but they like them that way as well, and it's a nice variation.

Well, I didn't have an ordeal as bad as yours, but I did have a situation that really teed me off. I had a taste for some good ol' KFC, so I went to one of the close locations that evening. When I get there, they are turning people away because of, surprise of surprises, they were out of chicken!!! How in the blue h*ll do you run out of chicken at a chicken restaurant? And furthermore, why are you still open if you don't have any chicken in the store???? I was p*ssed to say the least.

Oh yeah, you go to a place that has something you really like and before you can even get it ordered they tell you they're out. That's really a drag when it's the special for the night. We have a couple places that have Prime Rib on special for Wednesday nights and once I was at one because I wanted the Prime Rib and they said they were out. If that's your special you should try to make sure you have plenty of it. I ended up getting something else, but I really didn't want it.

My family and I went for dinner at Pizza Hut once and they were out of about 3 different things. I couldn't figure out why they didn't just run to the nearest grocery store. I think they were out of caesar salad dressing and ice cream and something else. I wrote a letter to head office and they sent me a coupon for a huge family sized meal which we couldn't eat. But it certainly made up for all they were missing. Did you go to a change restaurant where you can write to head office? Or was it an independent restaurant? If it's a chain, write a letter (email) to HO and you will get coupons. I do it with everything I am dissatisfied with and get back more than what I was owed me.

Yes, not too long age I wanted to eat my favorite cheesecake ,and I went to Walmart to buy my cheesecase and they had no more cheesecake ,and I live far from Walmart ,so I felt so dissappointed. Gas is so expensive and I drove 40 minutes for nothing. Well, maybe next time they'll have my cheesecake.

Oh no, what a horrible thing to happen. I hate when I have my mind set on something to eat and they are out of it when I get there and have to settle for something else.

Hi dear friend, I think we have a lot of things sharing between, I love chickens wings too as they with soup or grilled. For the situation you talk about, yes I have some like this I will tell you this short story: I take my family to have a nice time in some place like a restaurant and have some places that kids could play with, I told my family with proud that I will make them something they will like very much, and they get exiting for that, so I go to order the meal, it was something about middle peaces of chicken meat souse with lemon and garlic and grilled on coal fire it is so tasty we call it (Sheesh Tawook), but I discover that they are out of it, it was so embarrassing to me that the kids get sad too for that, but I order a grilled chicken it was have the same taste but not as I was going to make them eat. Thanks and have a nice day.

Dear danishcanadian. I am sitting here at my computer replying to you. The summer sun is gone. The temperature has dropped. It is raining and it is cold outside and the window on my right has finally decided that it does not want to close properly, so there is a cold wind blowing down my right leg. I feel like I am getting a chest infection and like my energy is being sapped away. I think we all have good and bad days and that we need to say to ourselves now and again - Hey! this is good day! It helps make up for days like these. Tomorrow is going to be much better :-) Cheer Up, tomorrow's hot wings will be fresher! Umart

Once I wanted popeyes chicken and biscuits so bad I could taste it and there stupid cc machine was down at both locations close to us and I had no cash and for some reason my banks atm was down too! I was so ultra poed.

yep not with wing but with steak, Matt and I go to this restaurant and I always get the filet mignon I love it there, and I was really wanting it so badly and when we get there they tell me it is not on the menu, what I say it is always on the menu, but apparently since the month of May it is only on the menu every second week, I was so upset.

I am sorry to hear that that happened to you. I can totally understand what you are talking about. It is so very frustrating when you want something really bad and plan to have that thing from a long time and when the time come you are not able to get it.

No, can't say that has every happened to me. I go out every Wednesday for wings. There is a pub near my house that has them for 15 cents each on Wednesdays and Sundays and since it is so cheap we, my daughter and I, go usually on Wednesdays and we order 4 orders of a dozen of 4 different kinds and we eat two orders and bring two orders home with us for the next day. It only costs us $7.20 for all 4 orders and there is now way a person could buy that many wings raw for that amount of money, never mind the stuff put on them. So we get them there every week and there has never been a day that we went, that they ran out of them. I guess since it is only on those two days, they make sure they have enough of them.

Oh yes, I would crave something so bad that I would drive myself all the way there. Then they say they ran out! When this happens all day I would think about that and everything else don't taste so good. So sorry to hear that you had to go in the rain to try to get the wings to find out they are out.
