I prefer liquid laundry detergent. We have hard water here and I've noticed in the past that all the powder doesn't always disolve, that probably has to do with the machine. I used only powder for years until the last couple of years. What is bar detergent?

Hmmm, you know, I don't know if we have bar cloth detergent here or not. I have never seen it because I have never looked for it. It's quite possible we have it. How do you use it? Do you just drop the bar in with the clothes? Is it real hard or does it disolve right away?

I use both. For washing my clothes, I use the powder. For washing my underwear, I use the detergent. This is because I wash my underwear everyday and it's the only piece I wash before showering. It would be a waste to use powder as I tend to throw in more powder than I should.

both here ...I basically use a bar when there are dark stains which easily do not go ...powder detergent i use it for washing machine ..but i feel bar is much better thn a powder detergent ..the only thing is that it takes a lot of energy out of you ...

I like to use the liquids. I often pre-spot the stains with it before I wash the clothes, it seems to loosen the stain before I wash the article in the machine.

I use liquid laundry soap. Most often i use Arm & Hammer because it doesn't irritate my sons skin.

We use liquid detergent for our laundry. I find that powder detergent doesn't always dissolve well, especially if you use a coin-operated washing machine.

powder all the way. You can't get that dissolving action anywhere else. Gotta get it clean.
