education for the child is very very important.
selecting the right school for your child , his first one , what are the things one must consider before finalising one?
is it the cost factor , the convenience , the distance or something more than that?

All of those are great questions, but also consider what a child will get at a public school versus private. I personally went to public school and I got more real world experience out of my education than my privately educated friends. And in the end when it came time to take the ACTs I scored higher than them anyways. There is nothing like having a good understanding off all types of people. That is what life is really like.

Hi juhi! I concur with all the factors you have mentioned and i have to say there is one more important thing or factor which has to be considered and that is reputation of the school! If a school is reputed, definitely its teachers and their teaching are going to be good, which is essential for a child's educational progress.

In our area, you have no choice where you child goes to school. There in only one high school in the entire county. Some of the kids ride on the bus for over two hours just to get to school around here.

ok dear villageanne local problems exist everywhere and this problem of travelling long distances is increasing by the day.it is diffcult. even at places local administarations are trying to govern this by stipulating the distances from the school to the residence, but still it is all manipulative!!

my son is only 2 years old, only this month, he is not yet capable of talking straight. i dont know yet where school i will send him, actually it is very expensive to send children in private school, but in public, i am not sure on how he socialize with other children, i keep thinking until now, and i need to save much for him to enter in a good school.

hi dear nice030481 it is good to know about you and your child. every parent has plans for the childs education and has to manage it within the resources!but by the time the child is at this age here in india people start sending the child to baby sitting school like things where the children learn the basics about socialising a bit of speaking , chanting poems learning about colors etc. and mor important the habit of going to the school away from parents!!in a playway sort of a thing!
well all the very best for your child!!

First we need to consider the advantages and the disadvantages in both private and public schools. One thing I hate in private school is dreaming the child. When the child is dreamed when he will be in higher education he will be innocents doesn't know anything. And one thing I have in public schools is the laziness of the teacher a child is given a lot of home work and told to work with the help of yous parents. Purpose the parent is committed or they are uneducated like many of the parent in african communities. But generally as per you quarry me I would consider the quality of education the school provide and it should be public school.
