Why do men sit with their legs wide open?

Now here is a question I have pondered for the longest time. I sneak glances at the men on the bus whose leg spreading takes up two seats and wonder just why do you have to sit that way?! What I think we have here is a matter of anatomy more so than etiquette. Think about that for a second and you should come up with the answer SQUASHED. It still irks me and one of these times I am going to throw a fistful of peanuts at the first spreadeagled guy I see...lol.

lol tell me about it. i can never figure this out! i hate to sit beside a guy on the train because of this- their legs always get into my side of the seat. it's annoying!!

I guess they had put in the right reasons for this. The basic reason is the comfort itself. Its everyone's perception about this, but i feel this is no offensive public behaviour. You can sit in whatever way that makes you comfortable.

think about what is comfortable about this position for a man and you can easily understand.me i only enjoy crushed n*ts on icecream
