Hello heart4u. I have many favorite authors. I like James Patterson, Janet Evanovich, Jeffrey Deaver, Harlan Coben, Wally Lamb, and Sophie Kinsella. This is a difficult question to answer because there are so many great authors out there. I'm sure you've been getting alot of responses to such an interesting discussion. Take care.

I like Coelho too! I read different kinds of books, so I also like lots of authors. But for now, Paulo would be my most favorite author.

I think Rudyard Kipling usually takes top billing with me. Although there are several poets who shove him aside occasionally. Kipling is a banned author in the schools here in the states so I spend a lot of time making sure that he is available to as many young minds as possible. I make sure that the various book stores keep him in stock, which they stopped doing when he was banned and I make sure that parents and teachers remember the importance of the classics. Children can read books outside of school! Shalom~Adoniah

Stephen King, Ray Bradbury and Michael Crichton. Great authors with extremely creative and intriguing stories. I couldn't put down Stephen King's "Insomnia", it almost got me into trouble at school. ~~Becky Ann

I have a lot of favorites. However, Bertrice Small is the best historical romance writer I've ever read. I proudly own all her books. She includes actual facts of the era she is writing about. The images she creates with her words are second to none. I also like Charlotte Bronte.

I love Anne Rice and Tolkien. I really can't choose between them because they rank equally for me. They just differ in genre but have the same quality in writing good book series.

Orhan Pamuk is the best, I guess. He's Nobel Laureate 2006 in Literature. His novels are amazing, especially "My Name is Red." Truly speaking, I decided to become a writer or novelist after reading his novels. And now I'm a full-time writer. Orhan Pamuk is my idol. He teaches me a lot on writing. He has a wonderful style, the characters are so strong.
