Is it necessary to mark a best response for a discussion?

It doesn't matter how long you leave a discussion before you resolve it. Sometimes I have received a best response from a discussion several months after I responded to it. I usually leave a discussion for a few weeks before I mark the best response. Why don't you want to mark a best response? It would make someone feel happy. If you can't decide between responses you could award it to one of your friends. Your discussion will stay unresolved until you pick a best response, and that's the only way to removed a discussion from your unresolved list.

I think it is better to mark one of them..this will encourage people to give better response...and might earn more money...not sure

it is not mandatory. but as long as you do not choose best response, you will have this discussion in unresolved section. only when BR is chosen. it can be taken away from unresolved

Hi, We can't delete our discussions in myLot. So, just let it be. MyLot staff will delete the discussions.

No it isn't neccesary because its your wish whether you would like to choose a best reponse or not.There are thousands and thousands of discussions on mylot with no best response.Ofcourse its not compulsary that you must mark as the best response.If you found the post interesting you can mark it other wise leave it.

I asked that question too as I thought that giving best response is mandatory. Fortunately, good people here in mylot told me that it is not. But it does encourage mylotters in responding again to your discussions. About the 'unresolved', I guess we just have to let them be until we choose our best response ;)
